Financial Times again ranks two UA programs among the top 10 in graduate management education.The Financial Times has again recognized the Eller College of Management’s Chris and Carol McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship and its Department of Management Information Systems (MIS) in its global top 10. The 2008 Full-Time MBA rankings list the McGuire Center as #6 in the world for the second year in a row, and MIS as #9 globally in the first year of its IT (information technology) specialty category. The two programs have maintained top rankings worldwide since their inceptions at The University of Arizona. Alumni feedback is the sole criterion used to develop the Financial Times specialty rankings, which evaluates business schools from around the world. “The ability to start new businesses and to manage information efficiently and effectively are critical skills in the 21st century workforce,” said Paul R. Portney, dean of the Eller College of Management. “Our alumni understand the value of their Eller College education, and want to recognize the excellence of the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship and the MIS department.”
